Planned maintenance of Air Handling Units, extraction and inflow systems. |
Mechanical or forced ventilation services are delivered by supply and extract air fans. Some deal with extraction alone, whilst other modular systems provide additional functionality, including; heat recovery, heating, cooling, blending of return and outside air and dehumidification. Together with their filtration processes and control schemes, they are essential in reducing moisture, odours, bacteria, dust, carbon dioxide, and other contaminants.
Sick Building Syndrome.
The term "sick building syndrome" describes a building where the occupants experience adverse health effects that appear to be linked to time spent in a particular building. It's not unreasonable to assume a possible link to this syndrome and ineffective ventilation systems due to poor design or maintenance. In this post-Covid-19 pandemic era, we are seeing a greater emphasis on robust maintenance procedures and the operation parameters of ventilation systems. It is particularly relevant where the air is returned back into the workspace environment.
